Arsenal's Emirates Stadium Selects MICROS 9700 Hospitality Management System to Service 60,000 Fans

LONDON, Aug. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MICROS-Fidelio UK Ltd, a
wholly- owned subsidiary of MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS) and

hospitality and retail industries, has partnered with Arsenal's
Emirates Stadium, the new north London home to the Arsenal Football
Club, the current FA Cup Winners, to implement MICROS 9700
Hospitality Management System (HMS) throughout the stadium's entire
hospitality venue, including: the exclusive Club Level, corporate
hospitality boxes, concession outlets, bars, restaurants, and
kitchens. The fully integrated MICROS 9700 HMS solution will go
live at Emirates Stadium in July 2006 and will aid Arsenal in
managing the projected rise in hospitality sales. With over 590
MICROS electronic point-of-sale (EPOS) terminals, including 104
handheld terminals, the MICROS solution is set to improve the
levels of customer service and the overall visitor experience. To
accommodate advanced table reservations in the dining outlets
throughout the prestigious Club Level area of the stadium, Arsenal
will implement MICROS Guest Connection. MICROS OPERA Sales &
Catering will manage the conference and banqueting requirements and
9700 Suites Management will service food and beverage requirements
in the boxes, including on-line ordering. MICROS Materials Control
will track and manage inventory levels throughout all food and
beverage outlets. In addition, mymicros.net will provide near
real-time reporting, with web-based enterprise wide business
intelligence reporting tools to manage the overall food and
beverage operations at the stadium. "We require an EPOS solution

MICROS 9700 HMS system has been designed with a Microsoft backbone,
providing high database performance by running on the Microsoft SQL
Server Enterprise Edition. The solution is built upon Microsoft
Visual Studio .Net, Windows CE .Net, and embedded Visual C++ with
Microsoft Server 2003 Enterprise to provide fault tolerance and
