The global project involved 23 properties in the Algarve region, Madeira, and Lisbon, and the deployment was concluded in May 2006. In the next phase, OPERA Customer Information System (OCIS) will be implemented for centralized profile management, reporting on the productivity of the three regions, and support of the Pestana Elite Card membership program. The OPERA Enterprise Solution, deployed as a multi-property, centralized solution, is hosted in three data centres, one of which is located within The Pestana Group infrastructure. This hosted solution will facilitate business unit autonomy, to enhance its operations that currently support individual PMS database systems in each property. The Opera Enterprise Solution will utilize Pestana's existing MPLS VPN communications infrastructure.
