ISSI Announces a Family of 256Mb Synchronous DRAMs Reinforces Commitment to Support Low to Medium Density DRAM SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (NASDAQ:ISSI), a leader in advanced memory solutions, today introduced three 256Mb synchronous DRAMs with access times of 6 ns and 7 ns. "Adding the 256Mb SDRAM product family is part of ISSI's long-term commitment to support low to medium DRAMs with our leading-edge technology," said Sanjiv Asthana, ISSI vice president of sales and marketing. "This is our first 256Mb SDRAM product family, and we will introduce extended temperature 256Mb SDRAM product family early next year to service the industrial and automotive markets." The 3.3V devices are available in 64Mbx4, 32Mbx8, and 16Mbx16 configurations. The 8Mbx32 configuration and the DDR family are also under development. These 256Mb SDRAMs are used in a variety of high volume applications including networking and telecommunication equipment, modems, set-top boxes, copiers, printers, automotive and other consumer applications. Price and Availability For quantities of 10,000, the 256Mb SDRAM parts are priced at $5.45. The x8 (IS42S83200A) and x16 (IS42S16160A) are available in a 54-pin 400-mil TSOP-II JEDEC standard package. Samples are available now with volume production shipments beginning in CYQ1 2005.
