ISSI Announces a New 400Mhz Ultra Data Rate (UDR) Synchronous SRAM Family SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (NASDAQ:ISSI), a leader in advanced memory solutions, today announced the Ultra Data Rate (UDR) synchronous SRAM family of 36Mbit ultra high performance Synchronous SRAMs. This family includes QUAD Synchronous SRAMs, which are compatible with QDR II(TM) products, as well as common I/O DDR-II devices. With clock speeds as high as 400Mhz the UDR family is able to provide data rates up to 3.6 Gigabytes per second. Targeted for high performance networking applications, these devices are fabricated on 0.13 micron technology at IBM's foundry in Burlington, Vermont. This new family is the first in a collaboration between ISSI and IBM. Under an agreement between the companies, the UDR family is expected to expand next year to include product offerings at 72Mbits. The IS61QDB41M36 is a burst of four, separate I/O device organized as 1Mx36. The IS61QDB21M36 is the same but with a burst of two. The IS61QDB42Mx18 and the IS61QDB22M18 are the 2Mx18 versions respectively. "These new products greatly enhance our offering of high performance, high density synchronous SRAMs." The UDR family uses a 1.8V core power supply, and either a 1.5V or 1.8V Vddq power supply, and is offered at speeds from 175Mhz up to 400Mhz. Price, Packaging, and Availability The UDR family is packaged in a 165-ball fine ball grid array package, with a 15mm x 17mm body size, and a 1mm pitch. For quantities of 10,000, these 36Mbit SRAMs are priced at $100 for 300Mhz devices. Samples are available now, with volume production shipments beginning in Q4, 2004.
