Mattson Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: MTSN), a leading supplier of
advanced process equipment used to manufacture semiconductors,
today announced that it has received multiple orders for the
Company's Suprema® photoresist strip system and the Helios XP rapid
thermal processing (RTP) system from one of the leading memory
customers based in Asia. The Company noted that the tool shipments
are expected to start in the current first quarter.
David L. Dutton, president and CEO, noted, "These orders from
our long-standing customer validate the strength of our core strip
and RTP products in high reliability and productivity, coupled with
enabling process performance and flexibility. We are extremely
pleased that our customer has expressed further confidence in
Mattson Technology; and are fully committed and ready to work in
tandem to support their high volume production requirements."
Dutton added, "Since the introduction of the Helios XP to the
market last year, we have seen increasing acceptance of the product
by both memory and foundry customers due to its unique
capabilities, including the industry's first RTP processing
capabilities at temperatures down to 220 degrees Celsius and below.
In strip, we continue to see Suprema leading the industry with
superior on-wafer performance at low Cost-of-Ownership. As the
overall market strengthens and our customers require additional
capacity, we anticipate increasing demand of the Suprema and Helios
XP products, driving share gains across our core market."
