Intelligence was ranked 183rd among the top 200 companies with
revenue of $51.5 million in 2003. The company improved its position
compared to last year's ranking of 195th. "We're especially proud
of our ranking given that our revenue increase over last year was 8
percent, which was higher than the 6 percent increase based on
sales of the entire Network World 200," said president and chief
executive officer for Interactive Intelligence, Dr. Donald E.
Brown. "With increasing demand for our IP PBX product, which
provides one of the few truly open alternatives to traditional
solutions, we look forward to improving our ranking yet again next
year." Interactive Intelligence develops business communications
software that includes an award-winning IP PBX product targeted at
Microsoft SMBs, organizations with mobile employees, and
distributed enterprises of all sizes. The IP PBX product, called
Enterprise Interaction Center(R) (EIC), features standards-based
SIP support and built-in productivity-enhancing features such as
auto-attendant, voice mail, unified messaging, workgroup routing,
conferencing, fax services, and Web chat. The product's first-of-
its-kind all-software option was designed to give smaller
enterprises an entry-point into VoIP communications technology.
