INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The American

which was designed to acknowledge innovation and foster a
continuing focus on new product development based on groundbreaking
technologies, was presented at the 2005 ATA Convention & Expo
held in San Diego, Calif. Sept. 25-28, which drew more than 60
exhibitors and more than 500 attendees. "We selected CIC for our
TECHNOVATION Award based on its unique pre- integrated, bundled
contact center suite approach, which includes a single- platform,
modular design, and open, software-based architecture," said Tim
Searcy, chief executive officer for ATA. "This innovative approach
helps organizations reduce costs and complexity associated with
integration, provides an incremental growth path and virtually
unlimited scalability without forklift upgrades, and helps leverage
existing technologies to ensure maximum return on investment, as
well as long-term investment protection." CIC qualified as an award
finalist based on detailed application requirements evaluated by
ATA staff and select convention steering committee members,
followed by an in-person briefing and demonstration during the
show. Interactive Intelligence originally released CIC in 1997,
making it the first vendor to offer an "all-in-one" Windows-based
communications software system. For maximum flexibility, the
company offers several infrastructure options, including a pure
session initiation protocol-based VoIP platform, an all-software
VoIP option, and hybrid PBX/IP PBX options. Applications include
desktop soft phone with full call control and presence management,
automatic call distribution with skills-based routing and
multimedia queuing, outbound and blended dialing with end-to-end
campaign management, interactive voice response with optional
speech recognition, fax services, screen-pop, Web chat and
callback, unified messaging, multimedia recording, and more. CIC is
ideal for all inbound, outbound and blended contact centers,
including IP-based contact centers, mid-sized contact centers, and
large, distributed contact centers, particularly those with global
operations. CIC is also ideal for service-oriented, CRM-focused
enterprises, especially those with mobile workers. Vertical target
markets include financial services, healthcare, higher education,
teleservices, and collections. CIC is offered through Interactive
Intelligence's global network of approximately 160 value-added
resellers. For more information about CIC, visit
