On January 16, 2009, Gaming Partners International Corporation (GPIC) issued a press release reporting that GPIC has secured two substantial orders to supply casino chips with RFID technology to two casinos, City of Dreams in Macau and Newport City in Manila, Philippines, each scheduled to open in the first half of 2009.  The press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1.  The information in this Form 8-K shall not be deemed incorporated by reference into any other filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
