Fisher Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSCI), a leader in local media innovation, today announced that the Company's Board of Directors has elected Paul A. Bible, an independent director since 2009, as non-executive Chairman of the Board, effective immediately.

A practicing attorney for more than 45 years, Mr. Bible has significant experience in corporate governance and compliance matters. He currently serves as a non-director member of the independent governance committee of AMERCO, the publicly-traded parent company of U-Haul International, Inc., a moving and storage company.

Since 2010, Mr. Bible has been a senior partner in Lewis & Roca LLP, one of the leading business law firms in the Southwest. Previously, he was a principal in Bible Mousel PC, a Nevada law firm specializing in gaming law. He is also a former Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission, the University of Nevada, Reno Foundation, and the Truckee Meadows Community College Foundation.

Mr. Bible earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. After law school, he served in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the U.S. Army and is a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
