Fisher Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSCI) has appointed Troy A. McGuire Vice President and General Manager of Fisher Interactive Network and Teresa Burgess Vice President and General Manager of duopoly stations KBAK (CBS) and KBFX (FOX), effective January 5, 2009.

"With Troy at the helm of our Internet division, Fisher can continue to set the pace for the industry with new and inventive ways to serve the audience and our advertisers," stated Fisher President and CEO Colleen B. Brown.

"Troy brings an excellent combination of broadcast management experience and a passion for the role of online media and Fisher's interactive strategy," added Robert I. Dunlop, Fisher's senior vice president of operations.

With his new appointment, McGuire retains the title of VP News and Programming and returns to Seattle from Bakersfield, California where he was VP/GM of KBAK (CBS) and KBFX (FOX).

Replacing McGuire at the Bakersfield stations is veteran broadcaster Teresa Burgess.

"Teresa's experience with both FOX and CBS is an asset to our duopoly in Bakersfield and her leadership strength and style will compliment the great team and well developed strategy we have in place in southern California," Dunlop commented.

Burgess has 31 years of broadcast experience and has led a number of stations in various market sizes from KPTV (FOX) in Portland, Oregon to KGBT TV (CBS) in Harlingen, Texas.
