Fairchild Semiconductor's (NYSE:FCS) FETBench design tool now
incorporates a wider range of low-voltage MOSFETs for use in key
computing and ultra-portable applications. FETBench is an online
design aide that helps designers dramatically shorten design times
and speed time to market. Found on Fairchild's website
(www.fetbench.com), FETBench offers MOSFET device selection,
application analysis and a thermal simulation tool. The upgraded
version of FETBench incorporates a powerful SPICE-based suite of
simulation tools including the Berkeley Short-Channel IGFET Model
(BSIM) version 3.1. This industry-leading device model improves
computational performance and reduces design complexity compared to
traditional models. "Using Fairchild's FETBench, designers can
quickly predict device performance curves at different operating
temperatures without having to do complex tests in the lab," says
Claudia Innes, director of Corporate Marketing. "FETBench allows
designers to save, recall and share critical design simulations.
For example, a designer can simply reload the circuit design as
opposed to inputting this information each time the tool is used."
FETBench is part of Fairchild's Global Power Resource(TM). This
comprehensive initiative enhances and broadens support for
customers through its worldwide network of power design centers,
system application experts, joint research and development labs,
online design tools, application and product tutorials and
evaluation boards. About Fairchild Semiconductor: Fairchild
