Software company Citrix Systems Inc. said Chief Financial Officer Andrew Del Matto has resigned to pursue another opportunity in California.

The Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based company named Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer Jessica Soisson as interim CFO as of Wednesday and will launch a search for a new finance chief.

Ms. Soisson has served as Citrix's controller since April 2016 and as CAO since February 2017. Before that she was the company's group director of world-wide revenue operations from July 2010 to April 2016.

Mr. Del Matto is leaving Citrix a little more than a year after he joined the company. He had previously served as CFO of network security company Fortinet Inc. from January 2014 to February 2018.

Citrix on Wednesday reported first-quarter earnings fell 23.5% to $110.3 million from the same period of 2018, even as revenue rose 3.1% to $719.1 million.

Representatives from Citrix didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.

Ms. Soisson's base salary will be increased to $530,000 from $350,000, and her annual cash bonus will be increased to target 90% of her base pay, in connection with the appointment. She will also receive a restricted stock award with an aggregate value of $1.5 million which will vest annually over a three-year period.
