MILPITAS, Calif., Feb. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- California Micro Devices (NASDAQ:CAMD) today announced that Daniel Hauck has been appointed vice president of sales. Reporting to Robert V. Dickinson, president and CEO, Hauck brings close to 30 years of semiconductor industry engineering and sales management experience to his new post. "I have known Dan for more than 15 years," stated Dickinson. "He is a seasoned sales professional who will play a key role in driving the growth of our business. His technical depth, familiarity with the application specific business model and experience with top tier customers in our markets align extremely well with our strategy of product innovation and outstanding customer service." Hauck moves to CMD from Catalyst Semiconductor where he was vice president of worldwide sales, a position that he also held at Leadis Technology, Amphion Semiconductor, BOPS and Neomagic. His early sales management experience was at Cirrus Logic over a nine year period during which the company's sales grew from less than $100 million to more than $1 billion. After receiving a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from the Ohio Institute of Technology, Hauck began his career as an electronic design engineer for Rockwell International. Hauck was granted a non-statutory stock option to purchase 150,000 CMD shares with an exercise price of $3.36 per share. Consistent with the terms of options CMD typically grants, the option has a ten-year term and vests 25% after one year and 6.25% over the following twelve quarters.
