Business Wire
Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX) announced today that Network
Products Guide, the industry’s leading information technology
research and advisory guide has named SpaceGAIN Cables and Patch
Panels a winner of the 2010 Best Products and Services Award. This
respected annual award honors products and services that represent
the rapidly changing needs and interests of the end-users of
technology worldwide. As part of the tech industry’s leading global
awards program, this year’s Best Products and Services were
nominated from all over the world.
Exclusively from Black Box, SpaceGAIN is a family of unique,
space-saving cables and panels for high-density infrastructures,
crowded cabinets, and the desktop. The SpaceGAIN line was
introduced in November 2009 and includes 90° Right-Angle Patch
Cables; 48-Port, 1U, High-Density Feed-Through Patch Panels; 45°
Angled-Port Patch Panels; 128° Angled Patch Panels; and 6"
Reduced-Length Patch Cables.
The one-of-a-kind CAT5e/CAT6 90° Right-Angle Patch Cables
give IT professionals two ways to save space: in the data cabinet
and at the desktop.
The cables are available with almost every combination of up,
down, left, and right hoods.
The up and down cables can save four inches of space in crowded
data cabinets. They’re especially beneficial in retrofits where
new, deeper equipment cuts into limited cabling space and prohibits
the use of cabinet doors. The left- and right-angled cables are
ideal for tight connections behind desks, next to walls, and for
desktop, laptop, and equipment connections.
SpaceGAIN 6" Reduced-Length Patch Cables eliminate cable
managers and route cables directly into ports.
CAT6 High-Density Feed-Through Patch Panels feature 48
ports in 1U of rack space. When used with the 90° Angled Patch
Cables, they enable users to route cables directly into ports,
eliminating the time and cost of cable managers.
The ingenious 45° Angled-Port CAT5e/CAT6 Patch Panels
feature connectors that tilt down at a 45° angle to make patching
easier. Because the cables flow smoothly downward, users save
cabling space and can eliminate cable managers.
SpaceGAIN CAT5e and CAT6 Angled-Patch Panels feature a
128° outward angle to eliminate horizontal cable managers.
“Increased end-user awareness and ongoing advances in technology
are helping shape better products and services,” says Rake Narang,
editor-in-chief, Network Products Guide. “SpaceGAIN Cables and
Patch Panels significantly reduce cabling space problems, cable
management, and costs in crowded cabinets.”
“These awards go to the best technology products every year and
we are honored that SpaceGAIN has been recognized with the Network
Products Guide Reader Trust Award,” said Andrew Schmeltzer, Cabling
Product Manager for Black Box. “SpaceGAIN is just one example of
how we are committed to meeting our customers’ needs by providing
them with the best communications and infrastructure
solutions.”
