Black Box Announces Joint Venture in Taiwan; Establishes Direct Procurement Capabilities in Asia

Black Box Corporation announced a new joint venture today with
Bridging Services Corporation in Taipei, Taiwan. Black Box
Corporation will be the controlling shareholder of this joint
venture to be called Black Box Network Services Corporation. This
venture marks the establishment of direct procurement capabilities
in Asia's information technology hub. Bridging Services
Corporation, with its years of experience in the region, has been
instrumental in assisting Black Box Network Services with product
purchasing and development initiatives. Mr. Barry Wu, President of
Bridging Services Corporation, will assume the role of Country
Manager of Black Box Network Services in Taipei. Mr. Wu will report
to Francis Wertheimber, Black Box Senior Vice President of Pacific
Rim and Far East. Commenting on this new office, Mr. Wertheimber
said, "This operation will create a new flow of quality products to
further complement our existing expansive product lines. Enhancing
our product capabilities to better service our global customers is
the primary mission." Mr. Wu added, "We are very proud to become
