People to People Ambassador Programs Will Travel More Than 2,000 Students to Historic Presidential Inauguration

Students will witness swearing-in ceremony and inaugural address,
attend inaugural ball and be a part of history SPOKANE, Wash., Jan.
8 /PRNewswire/ -- People to People Ambassador Programs, the leader
in global educational travel experiences, will travel more than
2,000 students to Washington, D.C. on its Presidential Inaugural
Program, January 17-21. As part of its premiere Leadership Programs
geared toward students in fifth through twelfth grades, the
Presidential Inaugural Program will provide a wealth of historical
learning opportunities for students from around the country as they
examine the 2008 presidential race, study the leadership legacies
of past presidents and witness history as Barack Obama, the
first-ever African American President, is sworn-in to office.
Additionally, over 200 adults will travel to the inauguration via
its Citizen Ambassadors Programs that offer professionals personal
enrichment and international goodwill along with the opportunity to
interact with colleagues around the world. "Our educational travel
programs teach leadership skills and inspire confidence in today's

Students from around the United States will gather in Washington,
D.C. to spend one week studying the distinctive leadership
qualities of past presidents as they visit national landmarks,
museums and monuments. Students will be a part of history by
attending the swearing-in ceremony and inaugural address of
President-elect Barack Obama, followed by People to People's own
inaugural ball. Students will also have the unique opportunity to
hear personal stories from Mary Eisenhower, granddaughter of former
president Dwight D. Eisenhower and 1960 Olympic gold medalist Rafer
Johnson. Johnson worked on Robert F. Kennedy's presidential
campaign in 1968. Participants will also examine the historic 2008
presidential race with Ken Walsh, chief White House correspondent
