American Spectrum Realty Awarded Contract for Third Party Leasing for Mission Katy Mills Retail Center

American Spectrum Realty, Inc. (AMEX: AQQ), a real estate investment, management and leasing company, headquartered in Houston, Texas, stated today that American Spectrum Realty Management, Inc., its wholly-owned subsidiary, has been awarded a third party leasing contract for the newly built retail center, Mission Katy Mills Center by Golden Bank, NA.

Construction on Mission Katy Mills Center was completed in March 2009. The free-standing center located in Katy near Katy Mills Mall at 25100 Katy Mills Blvd. offers a total of 58,600 square feet of multi-tenant retail space. The third party property management and leasing program was started to generate additional income without the heavy capital cost for acquisitions. Currently American Spectrum Realty Management leases approximately 679,127 square feet of office, retail and industrial projects for third parties, including the recent contracts mentioned above.
