Red Giant Entertainment Inc (OTCQB: REDG) announced the titles of
their new "Giant-Size" line of comics for their upcoming
revolutionary new print comic book line. In keeping with their
massive theme, each title in their proposed million weekly free
circulation books will sport "Giant-Size" as part of its name.
"A standard comic book is only 24 to 32 pages long," explained
Red Giant COO David Campiti. "Our books will each be 64 pages in
length. We often used the term 'Giant-Size' to describe them to
people, and so it was a natural fit to simply apply those names
across the line itself."
Red Giant will produce four monthly books and one quarterly
comic with a circulation of one million each, reaching a total
monthly circulation of 4 to 5 million and an annual circulation of
52 million. Each book will feature two on-going stories by top
creators for a total of eight titles.
The four free monthly books will be called, Giant-Size Action,
Giant-Size Fatales, Giant-Size Thrills, and Giant-Size Fantasy. A
fifth quarterly book will be named Giant-Size Quarterly and will
come out on months with a fifth Wednesday.
Each book will appeal to a diverse demographic group by hosting
a different genre of stories. Giant-Size Action will feature
mainstream science-fiction, fantasy, action, and adventure stories
that appeal to a wide audience. Giant-Size Fatales will feature
works by women creators that appeal to audiences of all genders,
but are told from a female's perspective. Giant-Size Thrills will
feature works of suspense, horror, thrillers and nail-biters of all
sorts that appeal to the older teen and adult audiences. Giant-Size
Fantasy will play host to all-ages fare suitable and enjoyable for
the whole family. Their Giant-Size Quarterly book will rotate a
wide range of books that will touch on each of these targets in a
unique manner.
"Part of our goal is to expand the audience of print comic books
to the same degree as we see in our online counterparts,"
elaborated Red Giant CEO Benny Powell. "This also gives our
advertisers a wider net and ability to target the demographics that
work best for them. We feel that the comic book medium has greater
diversity than any one genre. We believe this strategy will not
only allow us greater profitability, but more importantly, be a
boon to the industry as a whole. Retailers, publishers,
advertisers, and especially the audience will discover the benefits
of having one million weekly readers."
There will be between 32 and 34 advertising pages in each book
at a competitive CPM, giving a select few advertisers a
concentrated impact within each Giant-Size comic. Further, Red
Giant Entertainment will not be reprinting its online content in
this format, and instead, each title will be new material and
stories not found elsewhere. Initial stories will feature works
such as Duel Identity, Tesla, a modern version of Wayward Sons,
Sherwood, and four to six other works in any given month.
