John G. Simmonds, Chairman & CEO of Wireless Age
Communications, Inc. ("WLSA")(PINKSHEETS:WLSA) operating as
Vertility Technology Corporation ("Vertility")
(www.vertilitytechnology.com), is pleased to announce that it has
entered into an agreement to acquire the manufacturing rights to a
rear loading refuse packer for the Waste Handling Industry.
David A. Murray, a Waste Industry executive with extensive
Canadian and International experience will become President of the
newly formed division of Vertility and will divide his time between
his current business and the new business.
Mr. Murray has been in the Waste industry for over 35 years in
ownership and senior management positions. Over the years he has
been involved in successful startup operations and has managed a
few successful turn a rounds. After many years devoting his
expertise and industry acumen to the service side of the waste
management industry, he has been unquestionably one of the largest
manufacturers and distributors of refuse trucks and waste equipment
in North America. Mr. Murray's expertise in Waste Management goes
far beyond the manufacturing sector. Indeed, during the last decade
he has distinguished himself as an industry leader in the sale of
waste and recycling vehicles, containers, compactors, balers,
conveyors, extruders and several custom build designs. He is
arguably one of Canada's foremost experts in waste management
equipment from the manufacturing, service and sales
perspective.
Jeffrey Jouppi, P Eng., will also join the new team on the same
basis as Mr. Murray. Mr. Jouppi graduated from the University of
Waterloo in 1983 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and has
devoted his entire professional career to improving the efficiency
and performance of waste management equipment. He was initially a
Design Engineer with Dempster Systems Ltd. and his success of
contribution to the essential science of waste handling equipment
has been the subject of industry attention and commentary ever
since. Mr. Jouppi was instrumental in the design of the Ontario
Ministry of Labor's Pinch Point Safety System required for all rear
loading refuse vehicles.
Precision Waste Systems Ltd. has agreed to provide manufacturing
support until the business can operate profitably out of their new
location.
John Simmonds stated, "I am very excited about this opportunity
to continue in manufacturing and service for the Waste Handling
Industry. Mr. Murray and Mr. Jouppi's expertise and relationships
provide us with an introduction to the key players in the
industry."
Mr. Murray added, "There is a very strong market today for rear
loaders in the Canadian market place and I look forward to being
part of this dynamic team."
Vertility Technology Corporation is a public company focused on
acquiring and expanding companies providing end-to-end life cycle
solutions for waste and energy efficient products and services for
residential, commercial and industrial end users.
