Payments company Xplor Technologies LLC on Monday said it has confidentially filed a draft registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering.

The Atlanta company, owned by private-equity firm Advent International, said it plans to launch the IPO upon completion of the SEC review process, subject to market conditions.

Advent formed Xplor in February by combining portfolio companies Clearent and Transaction Services Group.

The filing Xplor submitted to the SEC isn't yet visible to the public because the company has taken advantage of a commonly used confidential-filing provision introduced in 2012 as part of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act.
