Daimler AG said Tuesday that Wolfgang Bartels has been appointed chief compliance officer at the company as of July 1.

The German car maker said Mr. Bartels will succeed Olaf Schick, who will become chief financial officer of Daimler Greater China Ltd. effective on the same date.

Mr. Bartels joined Daimler in 2007 and has held a number of management positions at the company, Daimler said.
