UTILICO INVESTMENT TRUST PLC



Delisting from NZSX Market


The Board of Utilico Investment Trust plc ("the Company") has determined that,
given the Company's small New Zealand shareholder base, the costs of maintaining
its secondary listing on the NZSX Market are no longer commensurate with the
benefits of that listing.


The Company has therefore requested that the four classes of its securities
listed on the NZSX Market cease to be so listed.  NZX has granted that request,
subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions.  Those conditions require
that the Company make this announcement, write to shareholders on the New
Zealand register advising them of the delisting and transfer their shareholdings
to the Company's United Kingdom register.


Subject to the satisfaction of the specified conditions, the Company's
securities will cease to be quoted by NZX on Tuesday, 20 December 2005 and cease
to be listed on the NZSX Market on Friday, 23 December 2005.


More information will be sent to shareholders on the New Zealand register prior
to the delisting.
