DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT 
 
Dividend 
 
M&G  Equity Investment Trust P.L.C. announces that  at a meeting of the Board of 
Directors  held today, it was  resolved to declare a  second interim dividend of 
0.85p (2009:  1.25p) per  Income  Share,  in  respect  of  the quarter ended 31 
December  2010. This  represents  a  total  dividend  for  the six months to 31 
December  2010 of 2.85p (2009: 2.50p). The dividend is to be paid on 11 February 
2011 to  Income Shareholders  on the  register at  the close  of business  on 4 
February 2011. The ex dividend date is 2 February 2011. 
 
The dividend will also be payable to holders of Package Units.
