FTSE Russell said Friday that it is considering the potential
implications of the U.K. listing review to its U.K. index
series.
FTSE Russell--a subsidiary of London Stock Exchange Group that
produces, maintains, licenses, and markets stock market
indices--said it intends to publish a public consultation to help
determine whether associated changes to the eligibility criteria
for the FTSE U.K. Index series should be considered.
The move comes after the U.K. Listing Review published its
recommendations on March 3.
In particular, FTSE Russell intends to consult on a number of
things, including the minimum free-float requirement, the inclusion
of companies with dual-class share structures, the eligibility of
special purpose acquisition companies, among others.
FTSE Russell said it intends to publish its consultation soon
after the U.K.'s Financial Conduct Authority publishes its own in
early summer 2021.
