                      Appointment of New Finance Director

Charteris is delighted to announce that Patrick Carter has been appointed to the
Board as Finance Director with effect from 1 May 2007.

Patrick, aged 37, joins Charteris from Aukett Fitzroy Robinson Group Plc, the
international architect and design company quoted on AIM, where he was Group
Finance Director.

Patrick has in-depth experience of public companies, having joined Aukett
Fitzroy Robinson in 2001 as Financial Controller. He was appointed Company
Secretary in July 2002 and assumed the role of Group Finance Director in October
2002.

Patrick previously worked for Deloitte & Touche, where he qualified as a
Chartered Accountant. He is also a qualified barrister.




Commenting on the appointment, David Mann, Chairman, said,

brings with him a wealth of financial experience and I am confident that he will
make a valuable contribution to the Company."
