Andrews Sykes Group plc has today been notified by the Trustee that  the
1998 Employees Share Option Plan has purchased 5,000 Ordinary 20p shares
at 160p per share.  Following this purchase the holding of the Employees
Share  Option Plan is 15,000 Ordinary 20p shares representing 0.018%  of
the Company's issued share capital.

The following directors are potential beneficiaries under the Scheme and
therefore are deemed to have acquired a non-beneficial interest in these
shares.
