Siemens Energy AG said Wednesday that it has received an order from Chinese state company China Huadian Corp. to supply transformers to an offshore wind farm in Zhejiang province, in southeastern China.

The German energy company said it will install a total of 22 units of distribution transformers, which will help optimize energy supply in the region, while increasing the reliability and decreasing the maintenance requirements of the 66-kilovolt wind farm.

The first phase of the offshore wind project is expected to reach completion by the end of 2021, Siemens Energy said.

Siemens Energy didn't disclose the financial details of the order.
