Daimler AG said Wednesday that it would propose Deutsche Telekom AG's Chief Executive Timotheus Hoettges to be elected as a shareholder representative to the company's supervisory board.

The German car maker said Deutsche Bank AG's Chairman Paul Achleitner will step down from the board after 10 years of service at the group's next annual general meeting on April 1.
