STOCKHOLM--Swedbank AB said Wednesday that it has appointed Tomas Hedberg as deputy president and deputy chief executive from July 1.

Mr. Hedberg will also head the CEO office and retain his current role as head of the bank's special task force unit, Swedbank said.

He has previously held positions within Swedbank as head of group treasury, CEO of Swedbank Robur and global head of FX and fixed income.
