Alternative Medicine Centers of America Growing in Green States at Record Pace with New Locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida; Sites Set on Capturing a Piece of the $9 Billion Industry
Sandusky, OH -- July 2, 2018 -- InvestorsHub NewsWire -- PAO Group, Inc. (OTC:PAOG), a physicians practice management company, focused on the proper use of cannabis for treatment of chronic pain, opioid addictions, and terminal patients, is pleased to announce that its Alternative Medicine Centers of America (https://altmedcenters.com/) have opened two new Corporate locations in Florida (Orange Park and Jacksonville) with plans for a third in Jacksonville Beach in the very near future. The Orange Park and Jacksonville locations are already booking up fast with appointments into August as of last week.
The number of patients in Florida's medical marijuana registry hit 100,576 in April, according to the weekly update from the Florida Department of Health Office of Medical Marijuana Use; this represents an increase of 57 percent since the beginning of the year.
The going rate for a visit, which can take 30 to 45 minutes, is $200 to $300. "Health insurers won't pick up the tab because cannabis is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration or legal under federal law", said Cathryn Donaldson, a spokeswoman for the trade group America's Health Insurance Plans.
"We are thrilled with the progress on our expansion initiatives and want shareholders to understand the importance of breaking into certain states that have legalized Medical Marijuana," states COO Arthur Hall. "The markets we have chosen are catalyzed for significant growth and state governments have paved the road for clinics like ours to claim our stake and build revenues inside an ecosystem which supports and encourages businesses like Alternative Medicine Centers of America to thrive."
As well, Company execs are thrilled to announce that they are finalizing the Company's first corporate location lease in White Oak, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Initiatives are also set for 2nd and 3rd locations in Pennsylvania immediately to follow.
Pennsylvania's medical marijuana program is set to more than double in size. State officials Thursday announced the program was entering its second phase, expanding from 12 to 25 cannabis producers and adding 23 more dispensary operators.
"This is just the beginning," states Hall. "Many state programs are in their infancy and PAO Group is at the forefront of the industry with ability to position our efforts in line with positive progress on the state level. As markets continue to open and become fertile for operations, we will be there growing; growing the company, growing our capabilities and growing our revenues. Pennsylvania will be a key market in the near term among others we enter into as we continue to expand nationally," states Hall.
