Item 8.01 Other Events
On
March 17, 2020, NaturalShrimp Incorporated’s (the
“Company’s”) research and development plant in La
Coste, Texas was completely destroyed by a fire. No one was injured
as a result of the fire. While still too early to determine
definitively, the Company believes such fire was caused by a
natural gas leak. The total size of all facilities at the La Coste
location is 53,000 square feet, although the damage occurred at the
Company’s pilot production plant, consisting of 35,000 square
feet, and did not include the separate greenhouse/reservoirs and
utility buildings. Additional information will be furnished at such
time that the Company receives official reports from the fire
marshal so that it can determine any losses that can be recovered
under the Company’s insurance. The Company is committed to
its technologies so that it can recover from this loss and move
forward with its initiatives.
