GoSolarUSA (PinkSheets:GSLO) President and CEO Tyson Rohde
returned to the U.S. from China this week, bringing 100
demonstration models of the ApplePeel 520 back with him.

The ApplePeel 520 is an accessory that slips over Apple’s iPod
Touch media player and adds the ability to make voice calls and
send text messages, mimicking the functionality of the electronics
giant’s more expensive iPhone. The device includes a 4.5-hour
battery, dock connector and SIM card. The 100 ApplePeel units
purchased by GoSolarUSA are among the first of the groundbreaking
iPod Touch accessories to arrive in the U.S., the world’s largest
market for iPod accessories.
“My trip to China was truly eye-opening,” Rohde said. “Seeing
the ApplePeel 520 on sale in a massive electronics mall in Xiaman
made me even more eager to get this product on retail shelves in
America. Our focus now is on communicating with national retailers
and media outlets to properly introduce the ApplePeel 520 into the
U.S. market”
Rohde spent two weeks in China negotiating with Yosion, the
Chinese developer of the ApplePeel 520. As a result of these
meetings, GoSolarUSA acquired the exclusive North American
distribution rights for the ApplePeel and signed a worldwide
profit-sharing agreement with Yosion.
Each of the demonstration models that Rohde acquired in China
has been earmarked for distribution to retail buyers and the media.
Representatives from Micro Center and other national electronics
retailers have already contacted Rohde to inquire about the
device’s availability.
“The technology works just as well as we’d hoped, and we’ve
received a great deal of interest in it already,” Rohde said. “We
are finalizing the packaging and branding details to suit the needs
of American retailers and consumers and we hope to have this
product on store shelves by the time holiday buying kicks into
overdrive.”
GoSolarUSA is dedicated to aggressively acquiring, developing
and marketing promising and potentially profitable technology. The
Apple Peel 520 is a product of Yosion Technologies based in
Shenzhen, China. The iPod Touch and the iPhone are products of
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), which competes in the global smartphone
market against Google’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android devices and the
Research in Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) BlackBerry line.
