GSLO: Apple Peel 520 Ready for Retailers

GoSolarUSA (PinkSheets: GSLO) announced today that the initial
manufacturing run of the astonishing Apple Peel 520 has left the
factory and is on its way to retail store shelves.
Created by Chinese developer Yosion, the Apple Peel 520 is a
cutting-edge wireless skin capable of transforming Apple’s iPod
Touch media player into a smartphone. The startling new technology
represents a more affordable alternative to purchasing Apple’s
costlier iPhone. Yosion’s Apple Peel 520 will first appear in
stores in China before migrating to North America.
“There’s no question that there is tremendous consumer demand
for an item like the Apple Peel 520,” said Tyson Rohde, President
of GSLO. “There is truly a huge market for iPod Touch accessories,
both in the U.S. and around the globe. With the Apple Peel 520, we
believe we will have the most exciting and functional iPod
accessory produced to date,” he said.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs claimed earlier this month that the
electronics giant has sold 275 million iPods since the device’s
release. The iPod Touch is Apple’s newest and most advanced model,
reinventing the iconic media player into a pocket computer. Three
weeks ago, Jobs unveiled a new, slimmer version of the Touch
featuring the same 24-bit Retina display and A4 processor as the
company’s iPhone 4 and proclaimed it to be the “number one portable
game player in the world.”
By developing and marketing the Apple Peel 520 in the U.S.,
GoSolarUSA aims to turn each of those portable game players into
functional smartphones. The gadget slips over the iPod Touch’s case
and includes a 4.5-hour battery, dock connector and SIM card. Once
the proper software is installed, the Apple Peel adds the ability
to make voice calls and text messages to all versions of the
Touch.
“The Apple Peel 520 is a very affordable piece of technology
that greatly increases the functionality and value of the iPod
Touch,” Rohde said. “We believe strongly that this is something all
Touch users will want, and it will be priced for any budget.”
Following the Apple Peel’s release in China, GoSolarUSA will be
responsible for making the device available in the U.S., the
world’s largest market for iPod accessories. The company signed a
funding option agreement with Yosion weeks ago. GoSolarUSA has
already received inquiries from Micro Center and other distributors
regarding the high-tech gadget.
GoSolarUSA is dedicated to aggressively acquiring, developing
and marketing promising and potentially profitable technology. The
iPod Touch and iPhone are products of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL),
which competes in the global smartphone market against the Google
(NASDAQ: GOOG) Android and Research in Motion’s (NASDAQ: RIMM)
BlackBerry line.
