Extreme Motorsports Announces 2nd Electric Sandcar With Special Feature
June 10 2008 - 8:00AM
PR Newswire (US)
BAKERSFIELD, Calif., June 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Extreme
Motorsports of California, Inc. (Pink Sheets: EMOC) ("Xtreme" or
the "Company") is pleased to announce it has completed the
engineering & manufacturing plans for its SECOND all-electric
zero emissions sandcar. On April 24th of this year, the company
announced the release of the industry's first all-electric sandcar.
The response was phenomenal. The public realizes the benefits of an
all-electric zero emissions vehicle, especially with rising gas
prices now averaging over $4.00 per gallon in the US. Utilizing the
latest in motor & controller technology, again, from Azure
Dynamics, a leader in providing solutions for the electric car
industry along with advanced Lithium Ion battery technology from
AEVehicles, we are happy to announce the second all-electric
sandcar model available from Xtreme Motorsports. This electric
technology is now offered in the Sportster model as announced on
April 24th, and is available for immediate order. There is also
more great news as well. Unlike the Dune Racer model, there is no
wait time for the Sportster electric sandcar model. Orders can be
placed immediately. Next, at less than half the cost of the Dune
Racer, this model will make zero emissions sandcars available to
those who have less extravagant budgets. This model still
eliminates the transaxle typically common in sandcars and replaces
it with a gearbox provided by Azure Dynamics. Although the system
is less powerful than the Dune Racer system, it still equals the
power of the gas engine that comes standard in the Sportster so
there is no loss in performance. Range is about 100 miles + and can
be recharged for approximately $3 because it still utilizes the AEV
Lithium Ion Batteries. Now, the best news so far. You're not
restricted to offroad use only; this vehicle is available with a
street legal package! The Sportster can be driven as a daily driver
for work or play! Now that's advancement! A street legal package is
under development for the Dune Racer model as well. This will be
available in December 2008 and can be implemented in all the 2009
orders. Disclosure: Statements in this news release relating to
