Danone SA said Wednesday that it has appointed three new deputy chief executives with expanded remits to drive the company's Renew Danone strategy.

The French food company appointed Veronique Penchienati-Bosetta, Shane Grant and Juergen Esser as deputy CEOs who will report to boss Antoine de Saint-Affrique, Danone said.

Ms. Penchienati-Bosetta, currently Danone's international operations chief executive, will also serve as executive vice president responsible for the group's specialized nutrition and waters units and Danone's global marketing and digital divisions, the company said.

Mr. Grant, who is the current chief executive of North America, will also serve as executive vice president for Danone's dairy, plant-based and global sales and be responsible for Danone's global dairy and plant-based division and Danone's global customer and commercial leadership.

Mr. Esser, who serves as the company's chief financial, technology and data officer, is being promoted to deputy chief executive in charge of finance, technology and data.

The changes will be effective as of Feb. 1, Danone said.
