ADRs End Higher, Airbus and Flutter Entertainment Trade Actively

International stocks trading in New York closed higher
Friday.
The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts
rose 1.9% to 123.41. The European index increased 2% to 118.62, the
Asian index rose 1.4% to 138.96, the Latin American index gained
3.5% to 196.35 and the emerging markets index increased 1.7% to
245.28.
Airbus SE and Flutter Entertainment PLC were among the companies
with ADRs that traded actively.
ADRs of Airbus rose 1.9% after Amazon.com. Inc. said it is
hiring Hawaiian Airlines to fly its packages on 10 rented Airbus SE
jets around the U.S.
ADRs of Flutter Entertainment rose 1.7% after it said Chief
Financial Officer Jonathan Hill will be stepping down from his role
to a newly created position of group chief operating officer. The
company said it has appointed InterContinental Hotels Group PLC CFO
Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson as his successor.
ADRs of Adidas AG fell 4.1% following the German sportswear
company's third profit warning of the year. The company said
Thursday that it faces one-off costs ties to Russia, as well as the
effects of the pandemic in China.
