The U.S. and the European Union have agreed to suspend all the tariffs imposed over the Boeing-Airbus trade dispute for four months, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said Friday.

Ms. von der Leyen said the two sides would work to fully resolve the yearslong dispute over subsidies given to the firms. The Commission president said the joint decision was a symbol of a "fresh start" for the transatlantic relationship.

She spoke to President Biden earlier Friday.
