PR Newswire (Canada)
KELOWNA, BC, Sept. 26, 2011 /CNW/ - Cantex Mine Development Corp.
("Cantex") is pleased to announce the progress of its Yukon
exploration program. Cantex has now completed the processing of its
orientation samples. These samples were collected downstream
from areas of known gold mineralization to determine the optimal
methods for detecting the upstream gold mineralization. All
nine orientation samples detected the upstream gold
mineralization. In particular all of the key pathfinder
elements used to detect Carlin style mineralization in Nevada were
anomalous in the downstream samples. The results of these
samples are being used to guide the processing of the exploration
samples. Processing has commenced on 767 of the 2,495 samples that
were collected. Of these, 249 are now being readied for gold
and key pathfinder element analysis. The results of these samples
will be used to define areas within the 30,000 km(2 )of favorable
geology surveyed that could host gold mineralization. These
areas will then be staked and follow up exploration will commence.
