Asian Mineral Resources Limited (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: ASN) is pleased to announce the appointment, subject to approval by the TSX Venture Exchange (the "TSXV"), of Mr. Robin Widdup to the board of directors of the Company.

Mr. Widdup is a geologist and a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the former manager of JB Were & Son's resource research team. He is a founder of the Lion Selection Group, a mining investment company listed on the National Stock Exchange of Australia, and Lion Manager, a private equity fund that provides capital to junior mining companies.

Mr. Choo Mun Keong, the Chairman of the Asian Minerals commented, "The Company is pleased to announce Mr. Widdup's appointment, subject to TSXV approval, to the board of directors of the Company. Mr. Widdup's technical background and experience in the capital markets will be of great benefit to the Company".

Additionally Mr. Mark Arnesen has resigned his position as a Director of the Corporation. Mr. Mun Keong commented, "We wish to thank Mark for his valuable service and we wish him well in the future.
