Trian Fund Management L.P. billionaire activist investor Nelson Peltz plans to mount a proxy fight for a seat on Walt Disney Co.'s board. Disney shares increased 1.4% in after- hours trading.

Yield10 Bioscience Inc. said it signed a memorandum of understanding for a potential biofuel partnership with Mitsubishi Corp. In after-hours trading, Yield10 shares soared 57%.

KB Home reported weaker-than-expected fourth-quarter earnings. It cited "sharply lower demand stemming from higher mortgage interest rates, inflation and other macroeconomic and geopolitical concerns." Shares slid 9.6% after hours.
