ADRs Mostly Climb Friday

International stocks trading in New York mostly rose Friday.
Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. and Controladora Vuela
Compañía de Aviación, S.A.B. de C.V., or Volaris, were among the
companies with ADRs that traded actively.
The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts
rose 0.8% to 171.26. The European index increased 0.4% to 133.59,
the Asian index improved 1.2% to 268.28, the Latin American index
fell less than 0.1% to 191.62 and the emerging markets index
increased 1.1% to 471.84.
ADRs of Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri rose 2.7% to $6. The
Turkey-based company reported its fourth-quarter results on Friday.
Revenue climbed from a year ago, as well as the company's net
income.
ADRs of airline company Controladora Vuela Compañía de Aviación,
or Volaris, increased 7.1% to $14.79. The Mexico-based company
reported fourth-quarter results late Thursday. Its net income and
operating revenues fell from a year ago. Volaris said it "expects
weakness in demand and booking curves to compress" for the current
quarter.
