that Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) has selected UMC as a
global component for the 12th consecutive year. UMC earned DJSI’s
highest scores for the foundry industry in the “Environmental”
category, with several items receiving full marks. UMC’s overall
scores have continued to increase in recent years, illustrating the
company's continued excellence in sustainable operations.
DJSI-World 2019 evaluated approximately 2,500 global enterprises,
with only 6 semiconductor companies selected worldwide.
