Aker Solutions ASA said Wednesday it has been awarded a contract worth up to 500 million Norwegian kroner ($57.3 million) for work on a processing platform at Equinor ASA's Johan Sverdrup field offshore Norway.

The energy industry service provider will deliver hook-up and commissioning assistance of the P2 processing platform with the contract booked as order intake in the fourth quarter of 2020.

Onshore preparation work starts immediately and offshore hook-up work will start in 2022.
