Total SE said Thursday that it has finalized its equity
participation in the Energia Costa Azul liquefied natural gas
export project in Mexico, and now holds a 16.6% equity share in the
project.
The French oil-and-gas major said the investment was finalized
through binding agreements with Sempra LNG and Infrastructura
Energetica Nova SAB de CV, the other co-owners of the project.
The project is for the development, construction and operation
of a single-train liquefaction facility in Baja California, Mexico.
It is expected to start in 2024, Total said.
