Thermo Fisher Scientific to Develop Covid-19 Antibody Test With WuXi Diagnostics, Mayo Clinic

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. said it is developing an antibody
test with WuXi Diagnostics and Mayo Clinic, and that it will seek
emergency use authorization for it from the Food and Drug
Administration and international regulatory organizations in coming
weeks.
The test will be able to detect the Immunoglobulin M and
Immunoglobulin G antibodies to help determine if a person has been
exposed to Covid-19, the company said.
As it prepares to apply for authorization, the company said it
will begin manufacturing the tests in the U.S. and Europe in the
next few weeks.
