-- Apple Inc. has decided to include China's Luxshare Precision Industry Co. in its plans to develop first-generation augmented reality devices, Nikkei Asia reports Thursday, citing unnamed sources.

-- Luxshare, a longtime Apple supplier, has taken over the role from its Taiwanese competitor Pegatron Corp., according to Nikkei Asia.

-- Apple has also involved Foxconn Technology Group (Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Ltd.), Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. and Sony Group Corp. in its AR project, Nikkei Asia reports.
