Stellantis NV said Tuesday that Uwe Hochgeschurtz will become Opel's new brand chief executive officer as of Sept 1.

Mr. Hochgeschurtz, who is currently CEO at Renault Germany, Austria and Switzerland, succeeds Michael Lohscheller, who is leaving the company.

The auto maker said Mr. Hochgeschurtz will join the top executive team of Stellantis, reporting directly to Chief Executive Carlos Tavares.
