DuPont de Nemours Inc.'s deal to buy electronics-materials
specialist Rogers Corp. for $5.2 billion is still awaiting approval
from Chinese regulators, the companies said Friday.
The deal was previously expected to close in the third quarter
of 2022, the companies said. They did not provide a new timeline
for the closing of the deal.
The two companies said they have received all required
regulatory approvals for the deal except from the State
Administration for Market Regulation of China. DuPont, at the
request of SAMR, recently withdrew and refiled the notice of the
parties' planned merger with the regulator, the companies said.
The companies remain in "cooperative discussions with SAMR with
the aim of securing regulatory approval of the planned merger,"
they said.
