Roblox Corp. said it would stop providing monthly updates on key metrics as it seeks to shift attention to long-term corporate prospects.

The company, which operates a metaverse-like online gaming experience where users play and transact in virtual worlds, said it would stop reporting monthly figures after it releases its March metrics, expected in April.

Since the company went public in 2021, Roblox has released monthly figures which include estimated revenue, daily active users and hours of engagement.

"While we think that has provided incremental information to investors regarding the seasonality of the business, we have decided to cease providing monthly metrics to align our reporting cadence with our value of taking the long view," Roblox said.

Shares of Roblox are down about 58% over the past 12 months, having been hit hard amid a broader sell-off in technology stocks.
