--Pioneer Natural Resources Co. (PXD) cut 230 jobs on Tuesday, the Dallas Morning News reported.

--The company said in a statement to the Dallas Morning News that "decisions like these are never easy" and that the cuts will help "align our cost structure with our business strategy."

--In April, Midland, Texas-based KOSA-TV reported that Pioneer was offering voluntary separation packages.
